Some photos of where it all began. Evanston is an absolutely beautiful place to live, and living so close to the lake more than makes up for the winters.

Few people know of the hidden beauty in Iowa. These pictures of Ledges State Park served as my happy place during my last year in Ames.

Spring and summer of 2015 a few fraternity brothers and myself made the trip out to Colorado for some hiking and relaxation.

In December of 2015 I helped one of my long-time friends move out to California. We packed his Toyota Corolla with all his stuff and drove 16+ hours the first day to make it to Denver.

After spending an extra day in Denver we set out once again, making our way through Utah, and setting up camp night at Fishlake National Park.

We made it into Kanosh, UT, a town less than a square mile in size, and a population of less than 500 people. Needless to say, people were surprised to see "foreigners" so late in the winter, and were even more surprised to learn that we were camping there over night. Against their best advise, we set up camp and hunkered down. FYI - Utah gets real cold in the winter.

After freezing through the night, we decided to get an early start to get through Nevada an into San Diego.

We made it! Took a long time but we did it. Had to spend a couple of extra days in California to see the land of red woods.

More than a week on the road and I wasn't at all ready for it to end. It was a trip that I'll never forget, and if I'm lucky I'll get to make it again. Best of luck to my boy out in Cali.
